CGCC Mailing List Instructions

Please use this guide to help you manage your CGCC Mailing List preferences. If you have questions or encounter any difficulties, please email us. 

After you become a CGCC member and are subscribed to our mailing list, you can change your mailing list preferences. This includes: 

    - Changing your email address
    - Unsubscribing 
    - Reducing email frequency

There are additional options for managing your mailing list preferences that you will see once you are logged into the system. 

Step 1: Accessing your CGCC Mailing List Options

To manage your mailing list preferences, including unsubscribing, please copy and past the following URL in your browser: 

https://lists.columbia.edu/mailman/options/cccg/youremailaddress
If your email address is uni@columbia, the address you will use is https://lists.columbia.edu/mailman/options/cccg/[email protected] 

You will be brought to a page titled "Cccg list: member options for user youremailaddress"

From this page, you may directly unsubscribe by pressing the "Unsubscribe" button. You will be sent an email to confirm your leaving the mailing list. If you do not follow the instructions from the confirmation email, you will not be unsubscribed. 

Step 2: Logging into to your CGCC Mailing List Configuration 

To change your mailing list preferences, you will need to enter your mailing list password. Your mailing list password is emailed to you once monthly by the "lists.columbia.edu mailing list memberships reminder". If you no longer have this information, you can ask to have your password emailed to you by clicking the button for "Remind" under Password reminder. 

This password is not the same as your uni password, nor is it the password given for accessing the CGCC case archive. This password is uniquely set for your mailing list subscription such that you can edit your preferences. 

Step 3: Updating your CGCC Mailing List Preferences

After logging in, you will be brought to a page titled "Cccg mailing list membership configuration for youremailaddress"

From this page, you have options to change your email address, change your mailing list password, as well as many other options. 

If you would like to reduce the frequency of CGCC emails, you may turn on digest mode. Go to the option called "Set Digest Mode" and select "On". Digests summarize all the emails sent to the mailing list and are sent monthly. Digests are limited to a specific size and may be sent more frequently if many emails have been sent that month. 

Be sure to save your preferences by going to the bottom of the page and clicking "Submit My Changes".
