Bio: Monosij Mondal is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia, working on lithium battery simulations using machine learning-based force fields and quantum chemistry. His research aims to understand lithium batteries at a microscopic level, which is crucial for the next generation of safer and more efficient energy storage solutions.
Monosij is also interested in how innovations can be commercialized at scale in real-world settings, which led him to explore consulting. While completing his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, he gained hands-on experience as a student consultant on pro-bono projects with biotech and pharma clients. At CGCC, Monosij is dedicated to enhancing the club's resources for members and building stronger partnerships with consulting firms and clients with supporting and inclusive leadership.
When he's not at work, Monosij enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and discussing science, economics, and politics with friends. If you see him, strike up a conversation about food, history, music, or science.

After gaining experience in Venture Capital and working in corporate strategy for a large organization, I decided to pursue further expertise in engineering to enhance my ability to lead innovative and technologically driven projects. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University in New York.

Her experience spans product analytics, risk consulting, and aviation safety and digital product management.
