Leadership Team

  • Yufei (Yuffie) Zhang, MPA’20, International Finance and Economic Policies, Director of Corporate Outreach. Past experience focusing on strategic & management consulting and financial services with firms like Bain&, PwC Strategy&, Deloitte Monitor, KPMG etc., has developed her core analytical skills, Multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and detail orientation. Collaborative and proactive with people skill and teamwork spirit, Yufei is planning to blend her training with her skills in problem-solving, strategical planning and quantitative analysis to create a career path in management consulting/finance. In spare time, she enjoys longboarding, traveling and blogging.

  • Tianyi Tang, Master of Public Administration ’20, School of International and Public Affairs, Director of Alumni Outreach at CGCC. Previous intern experience as a consultant for both the private and public sectors, to help clients such as L’Oreal and International Poverty Reduction Center of China. She is keen to apply her quantitative, management, presentation and policymaking skills to find robust and innovative solutions to problems in the industry. A traveler and fashion-lover.  

  • Tianyang (Terry) Zhang, Ph.D. ’20, Psychometrics, President of the club. Trained as a statistician, he works as a consultant for PhD candidates in social sciences. With interview experiences at McKinsey New Venture, IBM GBS, KPMG Lighthouse, etc., he leads weekly case practices for the club as well as the team to organize this year’s case competition. He wants to be a great statistician and management consultant. In his leisure time, he is an expert skier and intermediate Chinese Go player.

  • Tarun Nambiar, Ph.D. ’20, Genetics, Director of Internal Outreach and Fundraising. Tarun is an aspiring management/healthcare consultant who currently works on improving the efficiency and clinical outcomes of a gene editing technology called CRISPR-Cas9. In addition to CGCC, he is the current Vice-President of the Graduate Student Organization.  He is a former varsity squash player, a recreational tennis and soccer player, and a cooking aficionado. 

  • Stephanie Erjavec, Ph.D. ’20, Genetics & Development, Director of Marketing & Content. In her thesis work, Stephanie integrates dermatology, immunology, and human genomics for a translational approach on dermatologic diseases, giving her insight and expertise in the world of healthcare and biotech. She first became interested in consulting when she worked for a biotech startup as a market segment consultant, which sparked her passion in entering management/healthcare consulting after graduation. In addition to CGCC, she is currently a member of Women in Science at Columbia (WISC) and holds an active fellows position at Columbia Tech Ventures. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and traveling.

  • Meghan Pantalia is a Ph.D. candidate in the Genetics & Development department. She is the Director of Alumni Relations for CGCC and is the President of the Columbia University Medical Center Women in Science At Columbia (WISC) organization. Meghan hopes to combine her passion of promoting of women in scientific and leadership roles with her love to tackle complex problems by pursuing a career in management consulting.

  • Matthew is originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but has also lived in South Korea, the US, and Canada. He majored in Business at the University of Michigan, worked as a consultant in Chicago at PwC-Strategy& with their "Consumer Markets" industry group (focusing on retail / CPG / food & beverage clients) and moved to NYC to pursue a Masters in Applied Analytics at Columbia University. In addition to CGCC, he enjoys teaching people public speaking and helps to lead the Columbia Public Speaking Association. 

  • Lijun (Leo) Wang, Ph.D.’20, Economics, Director of Case Competition. As a macroeconomist, part of his academic research strives to help governments and central banks better understand their macroeconomic problems; as a financial economist, he has used latest research to make practical impacts at Bloomberg and Standard & Poor’s. Serving in the new role of Case Competition Director this year, he leads the team’s efforts in organizng this big annual event. In his free time, he is an expert skier and a newbie golfer.

  • Francisco is a PhD candidate in Neurobiology and Behavior and Director of Communications and Marketing for CGCC. His thesis investigates the neuronal mechanisms of eating that is induced by food-associated stimuli even when a subject is not hungry. Apart from research, he is cultivating career interests in consulting, data science, and digital health.

  • Chen-Hsien (Dennis) Su joined CGCC as the Director of Case practice in June 2018, where he designs weekly practice program to introduce case types, lead  group case practice, and explains business concepts.

    Dennis received his Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Columbia University and is currently a senior research associate at Columbia University Biological Department. He has extensive experience in analyzing protein synthesis pathway and developed solutions for research technical challenges. He has authored 7 publications in leading peer-reviewed journals with 100+ citations.
